NAVY BLUE EASEL CARD, when I pray!

I've been playing with some of my birthday pressies this weekend. I've created a card using my new 6x6 pad of papers,    I love the navy blue and creamy colours and the different pretty floral patterns in this pad.  It's the Papermania Capsule Collection The 6x6 size is scaled down so it's fabulous for card making.
So here's the easel card I made using these papers
Unfortunately my lovely navy blue card has photographed a lot darker than it actually is :o(
on my monitor it looks black GASP!
Anyhow, that's the front of my card, the scripture is a rubber stamp from Our Daily Bread Designs and the praying hands were cut from a Sizzix thinlet die, I have used this die so many times, it's become an old friend! I used Promakers to add some shading  and some faux pearls to accent the frame.
Here's the inside of the card.....
I also played with my Serif Page Plus program on my laptop and produced a cicular sentiment for the inside of my card using part of a scripture from Micah 7;7
I am so pleased with this card I am gonna make some similar cards using the same dies but different papers and colour themes just for fun and to see how differently they look!

I'm entering a few challenges
click on the name below!

Talking of Healing..
I have been challenged lately as to what I really believe about healing! I find it's so easy to believe God will heal the friends I pray for and even folk I don't know, I have seen it happen!
But when it comes to myself and my personal need for healing I am not so sure, maybe it's the pain that overtakes my thoughts, or just simply doubt that diminishes my faith? I don't know ?
But what I do know is that God is true to His word and I have to hold on to that in the battle I am in!

Back To My Card...
For this card I have used 2 new dies from 2 new sets I had for my birthday.
Here's the fabulous Umbria set from the Italian collection, Creative Expressions by Sue Wilson.
I fell in love with this as soon as I saw it, think I will be using this beautiful die set a lot! Creative Expressions by Sue Wilson is a new company to me I love the size of the dies.
I also bought the Creative Expressions filigree bow die set also by Sue Wilson
but only used the lacy strip die from this set on my card.

Tonic Studio

Then I used dies from a very practical set of circle dies,.. The scalloped circle layering dies from Tonic Studios. The set has 14 dies in it so it was a no brainer to get this set with my birthday money!

I had some beautiful tattered lace dies fo my birthday too but that's another post!!!

Thanks for Visiting today,
have a great week
Love Crafteresa xx

Pretty Team Teddy Easel Card

I am really getting onto the flow with these easel cards!
I needed to make a card for my friend Stephanie so here's the card I created for her and the Penny Black & Friends Saturday Challenge for the October challenge they have set a sketch which I have followed...
Embelishments and sentimenrts may be placed wherever I wish but I left it without a sentiment as I think my friend will want to leave this out on show for a while or even frame it!
I started to make this over a week ago but have been poorly and just not well enough to think straight!
I intended this card to be entered into a challenge that called for paper piecing, therefore I pieced the teddy arm, the gift, then the ribbon and bow and the tag on the gift then I used glossy accents on the bow to make the ribbon shine!
Here's the easel card opened up and showing the inside too. I wanted the sweet image of the teddy and the rose paper to really be the focal point of this card so kept embelishments to a minimum.
The image is a Penny Black stamp 3981K Team Teddy,
I coloured  it with Promarkers. I have only used half of the image, masking off the other little creatures
as there wasn't enough room for all of them to fit within the circle.
I love the feminine feel of this card, it's just right for the friend it's intended for!

thanks for looking

House Mouse Strawberries Easel Card

Kev and I were invited to have a meal with friends from church a couple of weeks ago. Margaret is a fabulous cook and we really enjoyed the food and fellowship.
When thinking of making a suitable thank you card I couldn't resist this House Mouse stamp as we had strawberries for dessert which were a sheer delight, strawberries are my absolute favourite fruit!
I had fun putting a little red on his lips to represent the strawberries he has eaten lol
I am entering this little easel card over at the
PENNYBLACKATALLSORTS Challenge blog this months challenge is "AnimalMagic"
they are asking for guest DT's so fingers crossed!
ANYTHING GOES challenge blog also have animals as their theme so entering this card there too

It's quite a simple card but sometimes less is more! it gave me the chance to try out my three new Promarkers which I bought to colour some robins!
unfortunately the photography isn't that good as it was photographed in very late light
I tried to fix it but it's still not as nice as in real life!

Thanks for looking xx

black and white cat easel card

A friend had a birthday this week, she loves black and white together and she adores cats so I decided it had to be a cat card!
I used my Papermania paper with black and white card and a penny black rubber stamp entitled "Primp" to create this easel card I used a spellbinders frame die but cut the bottom cut work off as it did not fit how I wanted it to! A Martha Stewart lace edge punch was used for the lacey edges and daisy punches were used to create the flowers which all had clear AB gem stones for the flower centres.
I think this is one of my better cards and will definitely use this as a template for other cards,
but perhaps display the sentiment in the middle next time!
let me know what ya think

"Friendship" Guest DT for House Mouse Challenge

I am excited to show you my first card as September Guest Design Team Member for House Mouse & Friends Challenge. I am thrilled to be on a team of such talented papercrafters, thanks for inviting me \o/
I was told that the subject is "Friendship" When pondering what to do I remembered the first part of the scripture in Proverbs 17:17 "A friend Loves at all times" so here's my card....
This delightful little House Mouse image is "HMGR1006 Mouse Drops."
This was one of the first House Mouse rubber stamps I bought back in 2007, it's a great image for get well cards. I coloured it with Promarkers and added gold stickles for the medicine in the bottle and dropper.
I also used the little "Mouse Feet HMA1002" stamp to create the impression that a mouse had walked over the card lol. This is only the second time I have made an easel card but I think I will be making a lot more as they are so easy to create. I think I will try a twisted easel card next!
I used my Nestablities Fleur De Lys pendant die to cut the square frame twice, once in gold then in burgundy and layered them on top of each other, then inside the card I used one of the small pendant dies that came with the square to make the gold fleur de lys accent on the label. The labels used for the scripture were from an x-cut label die set then the labels used for the sentiment were Nestablilities labels (not sure which set) I used scraps of scrapbooking papers and inked the edges of the cream card base and image with All My Memories paper stain ink pads in Chocolate and Caramel. I used a few gems to finish off the card

True friends go out of there way for each other and help them through their difficulties. When I made this card I was thinking of my friend Anne. She has always been there for me and shared the ups and downs of my life.
She helped me when I was seriously ill, in and out of hospital for well over a year. She loved me through the worse time of my life. We laugh together and cry together sharing life as it really is! she is a wonderful friend. So I dedicate this little card as a "ThankYou" to Anne.
